Dean was born in Truro, Cornwall and his first training was at the Hub Theatre School in St Austell Cornwall which culminated in a touring show of 'Volpone'(playing Nano the Dwarf). In Cornwall he was involved in all kinds of shows from panto to musicals whether in the chorus or playing the Dame. He then spent five years with the National Youth Theatre of Great britain, between 1999-2004 including 'Nicholas Nickleby', Lyric Hammersmith, and the Lowry, Salford, 'Murder in the Cathedral', Southwark Cathedral and Westminster Cathedral, 'Hanging Around', Watch this Space - National Theatre/Kneehigh collaboration, and 'The Master and Margarita', Lyric Hammersmith, He then has continued his work at NYT as a Company Manager and Workshop Leader. The acting work continued professionally in 'The Jungle Book', Warwick Arts Centre, for the Royal Derngate Theatre, Northampton. National tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , Bill Kenwright Ltd. Toured the UK and internationally as the Fat Controller in Thomas and Friends Live. Robin Hood and Babes in the Wood, A Taste of Honey, Romeo and Juliet Unzipped at the Salisbury Playhouse. “Riot Rebellion and Bloody Insurrection” and “Sex,Docks and Rock n Roll” Red Ladder Theatre and Chumbawamba. “Never Say Rabbit in a Boat” and “Anyone Can Write” Hall For Cornwall. TV and Film includes Ashes to Ashes, BBC, “Weekend Retreat”- O-Region as well as several commercials and short films. Dean is also Co - Artisic Director of “BishBashBosh Productions” now in their 5th year, There first production was Oogly Es Sin “The Lamentable Ballad of Anthony Payne Cornish Giant”, then “The Tin Violin”, Surfing Tommies” and“A Mere Interlude”

Since it began life in Cornwall in 1979, Miracle Theatre Company has developed a reputation for exciting new writing and popular adaptations of classical works. The shows are witty, highly physical and entertaining and tour to open air venues, theatres and arts centres across the UK.

Miracle's work is collaborative, bringing together artists, actors, musicians, writers and makers from around Cornwall to create theatre with a unique comic style, a joyful use of language and an immediate visual appeal.
